Responsibilities
- Represent clients in individual, class, and collective actions in all areas of employment law—including matters that may involve wage-and-hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, leaves of absence, or layoffs.
- Serve as supervisor/leader in various contexts such as federal and state courts, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative agencies (e.g., EEOC).
- Negotiate and provide client counseling.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of legal experience, including 4 years of practicing employment-law experience.
- Strong analytical, writing, research, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Admission to the California bar.
- Ability to manage confidentiality and sensitive matters.
- Experience with matter management, supervising, delegating, and working within a team.
- Passion for advocating for employee rights and a mission-oriented mindset.
Compensation
An attractive compensation package tailored to experience, with a target base salary of $200,000-$220,000 per year (exempt). Counsel at the Firm are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses. Outten & Golden offers a robust benefits package including healthcare benefits.
