Cost Manager
The Opportunity
- Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency
- Resolve any commercial, change orders and contract issues quickly and fairly
- Aid in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
- Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments
- Actively participate in the tender/bid process--from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting
- Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team
Requirements
- Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects
- A degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline
- A love for a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage your own priorities and deadlines
- A willingness to travel for short periods to meet with your clients, partners and team
- A desire to build strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about construction and cost management, and who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should have a strong background in cost management or a related field, and ideally a degree or equivalent experience. Experience in pre- and post-contract cost management on varied projects is essential.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with project management software are also beneficial.
