Job Summary
The Cost Analyst role is a vital member of the finance team, contributing to the accurate and timely financial reporting of our organization. Your duties will include preparing financial statements, conducting monthly and annual account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements
- Maintain and monitor accounts
- Aid in budgeting and forecasting
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements
- Audit bookkeeping and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Identify and report discrepancies or errors
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports
- Communicate with clients to gather financial information
- Provide financial advice and guidance
- Train and assist colleagues on software usage
- Conduct research and analysis for various business needs
- Implement process improvements for increased efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends
Pay
The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
