Cost Analyst
About the Role
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This fully onsite position partners closely with plant leadership and operations teams to analyze manufacturing costs, improve profitability, develop financial models, and provide data-driven insights that support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
- 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, manufacturing finance, or cost accounting.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing reporting tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, inventory analysis, and variance reporting is preferred.

Requirements
- Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, inventory, and overhead variances.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial reporting.
- Partner with plant leadership to provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Aid in month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain financial models and KPI dashboards.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain financial performance and recommend improvements.
- Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to support financial operations.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Pay
$80,000–$90,000 annually.
