Cost Analyst

About the role

As a cost analyst, you’ll evaluate data and develop analytical approaches to support cost estimation, financial modeling, and program assessment. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data, and help develop cohesive presentations to communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate data and develop analytical approaches to support cost estimation, financial modeling, and program assessment
• Analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data to develop functional cost models
• Develop and evaluate metrics and data trends over the acquisition program lifecycle
• Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
• Apply modeling and measurement techniques to evaluate system affordability, readiness, and risk
• Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to program meetings that inform acquisition and budgeting decisions
• Work in a classified environment and possess a TS/SCI clearance

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience performing detailed cost estimation, analysis, or forecasting
• Experience developing and evaluating metrics and data trends over acquisition program lifecycle
• Experience in collecting and analyzing cost and technical data to develop functional cost models
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Schedule Analysis
• Ability to work in a classified environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Economics, Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field

Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplement

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
