Cost Accounting Manager

Cost Accounting Manager – Billerica, MA KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a growing manufacturing company in North Billerica, MA seeking a Cost Accounting Manager. This is a highly visible position with significant ownership of the cost accounting function and regular interaction with both finance and operational leadership. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys remaining hands-on while also helping improve processes and reporting as an organization grows. There is also opportunity for increased responsibility over time. Responsibilities Manage standard costing and product cost maintenancePerform cost roll-ups and analyze manufacturing variancesOversee inventory accounting and valuationAnalyze margins and key manufacturing cost driversSupport inventory and COGS activity during month-end closePrepare account reconciliations and operational financial reportingPartner with Operations and Supply Chain on cost and inventory mattersSupport budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisAssist with audit requirements and internal controlsIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting Requirements 6+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environmentSolid standard costing, inventory and variance analysis experienceExperience working directly with manufacturing and operational teamsStrong ERP and Excel skillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldStrong analytical, organizational and communication skills Compensation: $135K–$150K plus 10% bonus and excellent benefits.
