About the role
The Cost Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing cost accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cost accounting processes and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- CPA certification preferred.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
