Cosmetology Instructor (Full or Part Time)

About the role

Debutantes School of Beauty is seeking a Cosmetology Instructor who brings real industry experience into the classroom and student salon.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging classroom and hands-on cosmetology instruction
• Demonstrate current techniques and industry best practices
• Supervise and coach students in the student salon
• Help students strengthen their technical skills, client communication, confidence, and professionalism
• Maintain required records and documentation
• Reinforce sanitation, safety, and Illinois licensing standards
• Create a respectful, encouraging, and accountable learning environment
• Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in continued professional development

Requirements

• A strong foundation in cosmetology and hair care
• A current Illinois Cosmetology Instructor license
• Salon, spa, or other professional beauty-industry experience
• Experience teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to excellent client care and customer service
• The ability to support students with different backgrounds and learning styles
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfort using basic technology for instruction, scheduling, and documentation
• Friday availability is strongly preferred and will be prioritized
