Cosmetology Adjunct/Substitute Instructor, Part Time

Job Duties

• Establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, colleges, business and industry, faculty, staff and the general public
• Provide instruction, analysis, and problem-solving support to students
• Analyze and solve student concerns
• Teach, train, or manage in a salon setting

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Active Cosmetology Instructor’s License with three years current work experience
• Proficient in oral and written communication
• Knowledge and ability to instruct, analyze, and solve student concerns
• Previous teaching experience is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching, training, or salon management experience
• Experience in higher education
• Knowledge and skills in using Microsoft Office programs, audio/visual equipment and software
• Passionate belief in the power of education and desire to help students achieve their goals
• Willingness to remain current in the Cosmetology profession and remain licensed
• Ability to be flexible and handle a variety of tasks at one time
• Able to meet deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment
