Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, hair extensions, and threading with precision and artistry
• Consult with clients to understand their desired looks and recommend suitable treatments based on hair type, face shape, and personal style
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with health regulations
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
• Upsell retail products like hair care items and styling tools to enhance client satisfaction and increase revenue
• Stay current on the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and product innovations through ongoing education and industry research
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in techniques like barbering, hair coloring, and store management practices

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a licensed cosmetologist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse hair services
• Knowledge of color theory to achieve customized color results that complement each client’s features
• Familiarity with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
• Skilled in hair care treatments, including deep conditioning, scalp treatments, and specialized styling methods
• Experience with retail sales strategies including upselling products and retail math calculations to meet sales goals
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction while building lasting relationships
• Prior experience mentoring or training new staff members is a plus

$22.70 – $27.33 per hour
