Corrugator Material Handler
About the role
The Corrugator Material Handler is responsible for operating lift trucks in a safe and effective manner. As part of your responsibilities, you will learn which line to send product through and possess the knowledge of strapping patterns. You will assure loads are strapped with proper dunnage according to instructions, and any other customer-specific requests.
While performing the strapping operation, it is essential to load strapping onto machine, clean heads, know strap patterns, number of straps per unit, monitor loads for any box problems, and notify supervisor of any problems. As a lift truck operator, you are required to sweep trailers and floor areas, complete a daily safety check list, change propane tanks, check the fluids and air filters on their lift truck, monitor the take off line following strapping processes and load material onto designated trucks (requiring record of load tallies).
You will transport product from the take-off line to appropriate areas of the warehouse. It is also essential to load warehoused product from the warehouse to the loading dock, as well as to receive product from incoming trucks, sign for the receipt of it, and transport to different departments. Proper paperwork must always be turned into the shipping office. The Corrugator Material Handler will rotate amongst the strapper position, take-off line lift truck, and floor driver lift truck operation procedures.
