Responsibilities
- Work safely and promote a safe work ethic.
- Perform and interpret required readings (annual test points, isolated services, casings, bonds, foreign crossings) in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and procedures.
- Create remediation work orders (install anodes, clear short, install insulator, repair/replace test station) in a timely manner.
- Follow through with necessary departments to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain cathodic protection at franchise gate stations by working closely with peers from other utilities.
- Conduct QA checks on readings performed by others.
- Provide corrosion control-related support to other departments as needed for maintenance/repair.
- Participate in regulatory audits to ensure success.
- Install and/or replace anodes by mechanical means.
Requirements
- Past experience with use of hand tools.
- Gas Pipeline experience.
- Troubleshooting experience.
- 2 years field work of pipeline cathodic protection/corrosion control.
- Successful completion of all current Operational Qualifications.
- Frequent local travel with occasional out-of-town requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
- NACE CP1 Certification.
Education & Experience
Past experience with use of hand tools.
Gas Pipeline experience.
Troubleshooting experience.
2 years field work of pipeline cathodic protection / corrosion control.
Successful completion of all current Operational Qualifications.
