About the role

The Corrections Oversight Worker supervises inmates in food preparation, ensuring adherence to production plans, safety, and sanitation standards in a correctional food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Train and assign work to inmates, promoting efficiency in meal service.
• Monitor food safety, proper portioning, and dietary requirements.
• Manage inventory, food storage, and requisitions.
• Ensure security protocols, equipment safety, and proper documentation.
• Follow HACCP policies and company operational standards.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Preferred experience in food preparation or supervision.
• Ability to motivate and supervise others.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Capable of working independently and exercising good judgment.
• Maintain security clearance.

Qualifications

• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
