Role Overview

This position involves maintaining safety and security within a correctional facility, including monitoring housing units, responding to incidents, escorting inmates, and documenting behavior to support a structured and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety for staff and inmates
• Conduct routine checks and monitor housing areas
• Respond to incidents and de-escalate conflicts
• Escort inmates to court, medical, and other appointments
• Document inmate behavior and write reports
• Enforce rules consistently and fairly

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass background, physical, and drug screening
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain professional under stress
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
