Corrections Food Service Leader 3

About the role

The Department of Corrections is focused on public safety through the custody and supervision of those in our care. This position is responsible for the food service operation at the Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center.

Responsibilities

• Direct the production of meals
• Train and supervise inmate food service workers
• Plan meals and procure supplies
• Care for and clean kitchen equipment
• Maintain food inventory and proper sanitation standards
• May work holidays and weekends, and other times as needed and/or directed

Qualifications

• Experience working in a food service environment including handling, preparing, and cooking/baking of food as well as following standardized recipes
• Experience maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards
• Experience leading or overseeing the work of others (e.g. training/instructing, assigning/reviewing work, etc.)

Pay

This position is in pay schedule and range 03-13 with a starting pay of $24.42/hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.

Schedule

This position does not have a fixed schedule. It may require working holidays and weekends, and other times as needed and/or directed.
