Corrections / Detention Specialist (31E)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations in a military correctional or detention facility.
• Provide counseling and guidance to individual prisoners within a rehabilitative program.

Qualifications

• Access to 28 nationally recognized certifications available within this MOS (Military Occupational Specialty).

Requirements

• Must enlist in the United States Army.
• Age: between 17 and 35 years old.
• Medically and physically capable, and in good moral standing.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card (I‑551).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
