Corrections Canteen Operator - Reception and Treatment Center

Duties

• Operates the inmate canteen to include requisition of supplies, maintaining inventory control, processing related paperwork, processing inmate special orders and answering inmate correspondence.
• Assigns and directs the work activities of inmate workers.
• Serves, supervises and trains inmate workers in canteen principles, policies and procedures.
• Manages small supply room, receives deliveries.
• Orders inmate clothing and control inventory.

Requirements / Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and have either a high school education OR have experience working in a retail setting.
• Experience working in a canteen, retail grocery or similar setting preferred.
• Experience operating computer and calculator.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish desired and assessed.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
