Nightingale's List is seeking a travel Correctional Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Stockotn, California.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Speech Language PathologistDiscipline: TherapyDuration: 26 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct speech, language, voice, and swallowing screenings and comprehensive evaluations to identify communication and related disorders.Obtain and review patient medical histories, assess communication abilities, and document clinical findings.Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, medical needs, and functional communication goals.Provide individual and group speech-language therapy to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, expressive communication, voice, and swallowing function.Evaluate swallowing difficulties and recommend appropriate therapeutic strategies and interventions within professional scope of practice.Monitor patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and assess the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes, evaluation reports, and progress documentation in accordance with departmental policies.Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.Educate patients and healthcare staff on communication disorders, swallowing precautions, and appropriate therapeutic techniques.Conduct staff training and provide guidance on the identification and management of speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.Coordinate speech therapy services, schedule clinical evaluations, and ensure timely delivery of treatment.Supervise and provide clinical guidance to subordinate speech-language pathology staff when assigned.Follow California licensing requirements, applicable healthcare regulations, patient confidentiality standards, and CDCR/CCHCS policies.Maintain professional boundaries and comply with institutional safety, security, and contraband-control procedures while providing care in a correctional environment.Required Speech Pathologist License as well as an American Heart Association BLSAbout Nightingale's ListNightingale's List is a premier healthcare staffing agency based in California,offering diverse job opportunities across America.
