About the role

This is a statewide advertisement for multiple vacancies. You will be able to select your preferred work location in the Security Background Questionnaire. No experience necessary; all training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and supervision of inmates in various settings.
• Enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff.
• Perform routine inspections of housing units and areas under their supervision.
• Assist with incident response and emergency situations.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age (no maximum age restriction)
• Be a United States Citizen
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Must not have any felony convictions, misdemeanors involving perjury or false statement, or dishonorable discharge from U.S. military service.
• Pass a medical examination and drug test.
• Have a good moral character as determined by a background investigation.
