About the role
We’re hiring a Food Service Manager / Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations in a structured, team-focused environment. This is a stable, full-time leadership role with consistent scheduling and strong benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations, food prep, and meal service
- Supervise kitchen staff and inmate workers
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health standards
- Handle inventory, ordering, and cost control
- Maintain organized, efficient kitchen workflows
- Follow facility safety and security procedures
- Plan and execute menus based on guidelines and budget
Qualifications
- Experience as a Food Service Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Cafeteria Manager
- Background in high-volume food production (restaurants, schools, healthcare, or institutional settings) a plus
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of ServSafe or food safety standards
- Reliable, organized, and able to work in a structured environment
