About the role
This is a seat on a nationally recognized corporate trust team, not a supporting role buried in a large-firm associate pool. You'll work directly with indenture trustees, agents, and financial institution clients on public and private debt and loan transactions, with exposure to private credit and direct lending deals alongside a team that regularly handles complex restructurings and default-side matters. If you want to build a specialized, high-value practice area early rather than grind through generalist corporate work, this is that opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Represent corporate trust and loan agency departments of banks and financial institutions in their role as trustee or agent
- Handle public and private debt or loan transactions
- Work on private credit and direct lending deals (a plus)
Requirements
- Active New York Bar admission required
- 2nd–3rd year associate
- Experience representing corporate trust and loan agency departments of banks and financial institutions
- Experience in public and private debt or loan transactions
- Strong corporate finance background
Qualifications
- Experience in private credit and direct lending is a plus
Pay
$205,000 - $235,000 per year
