Corporate Tax Manager
Position Overview
Reliance One, Inc. is hiring for one of our clients and is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a corporate finance team. This role is responsible for managing U.S. and international tax compliance, preparing tax forecasts, supporting tax accounting processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the tax function. The position offers a blend of hands-on technical work, collaboration with external advisors, and partnership with finance and accounting leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. federal and state income tax forecasts for partnerships and corporations.
- Manage U.S. and international income tax compliance activities in partnership with external tax advisors.
- Maintain the corporate tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely completion of tax filings, estimated payments, and extensions.
- Review and support quarterly and annual foreign tax provisions, including provision-to-return reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain cash tax forecasts while supporting global tax planning and forecasting activities.
- Aid with the preparation of income tax disclosures for financial reporting.
- Monitor transfer pricing calculations, intercompany transactions, and related true-up activities.
- Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal finance teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency within the tax function.
- Support indirect tax compliance and related initiatives.
- Perform tax research and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting requirements.
- Participate in special projects, including business integrations, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of corporate tax or public accounting tax experience.
- Strong understanding of partnership and corporate taxation.
- Experience with international tax reporting and ASC 740 tax accounting.
- Experience working with financial and tax technology systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation and/or Master's degree in Taxation.
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with enterprise financial reporting, tax compliance, and ERP systems.
- Experience supporting multinational operations.
