Play a key role in process improvement, system enhancements, and accounting transformation initiatives. Develop valuable experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, audits, and public company accounting. Partner closely with FP&A and business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, operational reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate monthly close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting workpapers.
- Analyze financial results and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, analyses, and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements, control enhancements, and system improvements.
- Partner with FP&A and business teams on forecasting, budgeting, and operational reporting.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting and cross-functional stakeholders on special projects and strategic initiatives.
- Own the monthly close and reporting process for the North American business.
- Build expertise in technical accounting areas including revenue recognition, sales incentives, debt, warranties, and financial reporting.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both.
- Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls.
- Experience working in a public company environment and/or with SOX is preferred.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A process-improvement mindset and interest in taking ownership of projects and initiatives.
