The Corporate & Investment Banking Structured Trade Finance Associate develops, analyzes, and executes specialized financing solutions for international trade and commodity transactions with key risk mitigants.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Structuring deals with instruments (prepayments, inventory finance),
  • Modeling cash flows,
  • Negotiating with banks, and
  • Managing risk through insurance or collateral.

Specific responsibilities include deal structuring, risk mitigation, financial modeling and analysis, and execution and documentation.

Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Math, or Engineering,
  • 1-5 years of experience in commodity finance, corporate banking, or trade finance,
  • Advanced Excel modeling, knowledge of financial instruments, and risk assessment techniques,
  • Strong negotiation, multi-tasking, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage client and bank relationships.

Qualifications

It would be nice to have:

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education,
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.

Skills

Technical skills required include advanced Excel modeling, knowledge of financial instruments, and risk assessment techniques. Soft skills required include strong negotiation, multi-tasking, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage client and bank relationships.

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $145,000.00 USD - $175,000.00 USD per year.

Schedule

Frequent minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking is required for this role. Depending on location, occasional moving and lifting light equipment and/or furniture may be required.
