Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Strategic Cybersecurity Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize and implement strategic cybersecurity initiatives based on risk assessments and business priorities. - Security Operations And Governance: Oversee and optimize security operations, ensuring effective monitoring, analysis, and implementation of security controls.
Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive security policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives. - Incident Response Excellence: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring a swift and effective resolution to security incidents.
Conduct thorough post-incident reviews, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement measures. - Team Leadership And Development: Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Conduct regular training sessions and knowledge-sharing programs to enhance the team's expertise. - Stakeholder Management And Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders to ensure the alignment of security measures with business objectives.
Effectively communicate cybersecurity risks, recommendations, and achievements to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent military or practical experience.
- 10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity roles, with a focus on security operations, incident response, and governance.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and advanced cybersecurity technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent.
- Team management and leadership experience.
- Able to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
