About the role
The Corporate Development Ops Senior Manager (Data and AI Transformation) will be a crucial part of the M&A Deal Team at Salesforce. This position will leverage AI to streamline operations, automation, and analytics, and will work closely with counterparts in M&A Integration and Salesforce Ventures to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. The role requires intellectual curiosity, an innovative mind, and a focus on process optimization and operational support. The ideal candidate thrives in delivering solutions to complex problems, has an affinity for data analysis and critical thinking, and is comfortable working with executives and stakeholders of all levels.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally across Corporate Development, Finance, GTM, Business Technology, and other teams to automate and streamline processes, measure and analyze data around the M&A pipeline, and support the creation of materials for Salesforce’s Board of Directors. The position is based in San Francisco and requires working out of the Salesforce Tower 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Own standardized reporting, pipeline metrics, and readouts.
- Lead analysis on the portfolio of M&A deals in a given year, pipeline, and inbounds that are not pursued for acquisition or investment.
- Leverage Salesforce AI products and other AI tools (e.g., Claude, Gemini) to streamline processes and create efficiency.
- Support market, industry, and company research and analyses.
- Own the reporting and analysis for the Salesforce Investments portfolio, including monitoring portfolio performance, valuation, realized and unrealized gains on portfolio holdings.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for preparing materials on the M&A program for the Board of Directors, Salesforce’s executive leadership team, and Corporate Development leadership.
- Own the development of the Salesforce M&A org’s enterprise tools, including feature development, managing reporting of inbound and outbound conversations, and maintaining records.
- Support the M&A Deal team on acquisition strategy and proactive ideation or execution on deals as required.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of total experience and a strong educational pedigree.
- Previous experience in management consulting, data science, strategic finance, or M&A.
- Experience working in the technology sector.
Skills
- Understanding of financial and valuation metrics; ability to identify and track business and operational key performance indicators.
- Experience using AI tools for process improvement (within M&A is a plus).
- Acumen to analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and present findings.
- Ability to integrate disparate information, correlate data, and understand trends to produce research papers or briefings.
- Experience with data quality assessment and implementing solutions to improve data quality.
- Experience with Salesforce and business visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
- Ability to build rapport, credibility, and trust with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Intellectual curiosity and strategic vision to produce credible analysis based on numerous interrelated data sets.

Pay
The typical base salary range for this position is $150,100 - $227,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range is $180,200 - $247,900 annually. The range represents base salary only and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity, or benefits.

This position is based in San Francisco and requires working out of the Salesforce Tower 3 days a week.
