Corporate Counsel (Product, Privacy, Cybersecurity, AI and Technology Compliance)

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal counsel with a focus on business processes and enhancements
• Collaborate with all business divisions to achieve key objectives
• Support the General Counsel on product development and technological innovations in AI
• Aid in legal matters related to data privacy and cybersecurity
• Offer strategic legal guidance on evolving AI, privacy regulations, and data governance
• Analyze regulatory frameworks and develop compliance strategies with stakeholders
• Work with compliance and business teams to enhance regulatory compliance and risk management strategies
• Ensure adherence to industry and government regulations in company policies

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of experience as an in-house counsel or private practice attorney focused on data privacy, cybersecurity, product development, and AI law
• Experience in a fast-paced technology company environment
• Familiarity with consumer financial services laws and the FTC regulations
• Preference for candidates with payment or financial services industry experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and contract review skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
• Collaborative approach with all organizational levels
• Proficient in Google software applications
• Strategic thinking with sound decision-making capabilities
