Corporate Counsel, North America Stores Legal

About the role

Amazon is looking for a talented attorney to support its online store business. You will work directly with your business partners, serving as their primary legal advisor on a broad range and variety of matters.

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day legal support to business teams and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways.
• Helping your business teams launch new features and product categories.
• Serving as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
• Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context, such as confidentiality, accuracy, and bias prevention

Pay

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).

• USA, NY, New York - 169,300.00 - 229,000.00 USD annually
• USA, WA, SEATTLE - 153,900.00 - 208,200.00 USD annually
