About the role
Amazon is looking for an exceptional attorney to support the growing North American Seller Business & Programs Team.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal support to business teams and develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, efficient, and business-centric ways
- Help business teams launch new programs, products and features for sellers
- Serve as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Resolve issues arising in existing commercial relationships, and handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Preferred qualifications
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
- Common sense and a good sense of humor
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Team player and consensus builder who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and business clients at all levels throughout the organization
- Business acumen combined with ability to identify optimal solutions, including novel, creative and innovative solutions to complex issues
- Thinks strategically, but stays on top of tactical execution, responding openly and flexibly to change
Pay
- USA, NY, New York: 169,300.00 - 229,000.00 USD annually
- USA, VA, Arlington: 153,900.00 - 208,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, SEATTLE: 153,900.00 - 208,200.00 USD annually
