Corporate Counsel

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a Legal & Accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts and agreements
• Provide counsel on interpretation of contracts and handle dispute resolution
• Manage multiple contracts and projects under tight deadlines
• Collaborate with legal, risk management, and business leadership on process improvements
• Assist or lead projects related to legal policy development
• Partner with external vendors and legal counsel as required

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required
• 3+ years in a law firm (preferably Am Law 100) or in-house corporate attorney experience
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
• Familiarity with information privacy laws including HIPAA, PHI, and BAA
• Knowledge of employment law is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Preferred project management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in teams
