An established international engineering and construction firm specializing in the delivery of highly technical, mission-critical facilities for clients in advanced manufacturing and technology-driven industries. The company has a strong presence across major global markets and continues to expand its footprint in the Americas, known for tackling large, complex projects that require deep technical and commercial expertise.

About the role

This organization is seeking a Senior Counsel to join a collaborative in-house legal team supporting the legal, risk, and compliance needs of a growing construction and engineering business. This role works closely with senior business leaders on complex, high-value matters spanning design, engineering, and construction project delivery, and reports to the organization's General Counsel. The right candidate is a self-starter who builds trust across departments and takes ownership of complex matters from start to finish.

  • Advise on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, insurance, leasing, and collections
  • Support enterprise risk management and compliance initiatives
  • Partner with HR and Compliance on policy interpretation and enforcement
  • Respond to inquiries and proceedings involving labor and employment agencies (e.g., wage/hour, safety, and workplace matters)
  • Occasionally support IP, software, and technology-related legal matters
  • Contribute to M&A, financing, and other corporate transactions
  • Own assigned matters through to resolution

Requirements

  • J.D. and active law license in Texas or another approved jurisdiction
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience
  • Substantial experience with large-scale construction

Benefits

  • Competitive salary with annual bonus
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Paid time off and holidays
