Corporate Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate owner contracts, subcontracts, design agreements, and purchase orders
• Provide legal support throughout the project lifecycle—from RFP responses and preconstruction to post-construction warranty and claims
• Advises project teams on legal matters including change orders, claims, notices, and contract administration
• Collaborates with internal departments and external counsel to resolve legal issues and support business objectives
• Conducts legal research and prepares opinions and correspondence
• Participates in regulatory compliance efforts and risk mitigation strategies

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5–7 years of experience in construction law and contract negotiation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across department
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new legal tech tools
