Corporate Buyer

Responsibilities

• This role is primarily responsible for strategic and tactical global sourcing for goods and services required for the CEIG Executive Leadership members and on behalf of the Business units when required.
• Supports and co-leads the procurement strategies for different goods and services with the support of the Executive Vice President of Operations.
• Develops and maintains supplier relationships and develops a structured supplier management plan.
• Ensures purchased materials meet quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Maintains supplier performance to assure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve quality and delivery.
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies of products are always available.
• Manages capabilities of existing and future supply base to ensure they meet the needs of our business.
• Supports implementation of Global Commodity strategies between the Business Units where possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related technical area or equivalent work experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good supplier and vendor relationships.
• Expertise in problem-solving working with internal and external teams.
• Able to lead/co-lead projects in cross-functional teams to drive strategic sourcing in a global environment.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel with excellent communications skills.
• Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal skills - verbal and written communication, self-starter, positive make-it-happen attitude, team player.
