Corporate Accounting Manager
Location: Plano, TX | Duration: 3+ month contract | Compensation: $50–$55.45/HR | Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders, or authorized to work in the U.S.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day corporate accounting activities and support accurate, timely financial reporting. This individual will manage core accounting operations, cash and banking activities, general ledger management, financial reporting, and maintain effective accounting processes and controls. The ideal candidate brings strong corporate accounting fundamentals, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day corporate accounting activities and ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financial reporting, including balance sheet reconciliations and income statement variance analysis
- Review general ledger activity and prepare and post journal entries
- Manage daily cash and banking activities, including monitoring cash balances and banking transactions
- Support treasury activities and maintain appropriate internal controls surrounding cash
- Prepare monthly executive and management reporting
- Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes
- Assist with annual tax packages and other corporate reporting requirements
- Oversee the processing and accounting of corporate expenses, income billings, commissions, payroll-related items, and other third-party activity
- Support corporate credit card/P-Card administration, accruals, procedures, and controls
- Oversee outsourced accounting resources as needed
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, procedures, and documentation
- Partner with internal departments and leadership to resolve accounting matters and support business needs
- Handle confidential and proprietary financial information with appropriate discretion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (18 accounting hours)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong corporate accounting and financial reporting background
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Experience with cash management, banking, and treasury activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, organized, and able to operate effectively in a changing environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- CPA preferred
- JD Edwards experience preferred
