Corporate Account Manager

About the Role
The Corporate Account Manager, Food and Beverage, will retain existing customers by reinforcing ChemTreat’s value proposition and pursue leads to acquire new accounts. This role involves collaboration with Field Sales, technical staff, and management to develop retention and growth strategies for an assigned portfolio, driving profitable growth and new customer acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Develop action plans for each customer account by understanding key business drivers and strategically selling ChemTreat’s value proposition to expand revenue and profit.
- Build and establish professional relationships with key personnel, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Craft viable and profitable pricing structures to increase sales and profit margins across geographies.
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
- Analyze markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues.
- Support and expand ChemTreat’s presence in key industry and trade organizations with the Vertical Director.
- Mentor Associate Corporate Account Managers within assigned accounts.
- Update Vertical Director and Marketing on key industry trends and competitive activity.
- Foster teamwork between Field Operations, technical services, and internal groups to meet customer needs.
- Learn customer operations, understand their challenges, and provide tailored solutions.
- Communicate ChemTreat’s Value Proposition to all customer levels, from local operations to C-Suite.
- Construct and present effective proposals to customers and prospects.
- Attract, interview, and screen candidates at various levels.
- Deliver industry-specific training to ChemTreat associates and customers.
- Sell, start up, and transition new business to the front-line Field Sales and service team.
- Entertain customers and prospects in accordance with ChemTreat’s Entertainment Policy.
- Troubleshoot technical and industry-specific issues.
- Audit and communicate program results across multiple customer locations.
Requirements
- Ability to identify critical issues and craft practical solutions for sustainable competitive advantage.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (emails, reports, proposals).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Industry knowledge specific to water treatment.
- Business-to-Business sales experience with demonstrated negotiation and account-management skills.
- Analytical skills to compile and synthesize information for total cost of ownership, KPIs, and account profitability.
- Ability to lead through influence and collaborate to achieve goals without direct reporting relationships.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of water treatment sales experience preferred.
- Minimum 7-9 years of successful sales experience in a business-to-business environment.
- Proven track record of selling at least $1MM in new business.
- Travel expectations of 50-75%.
- Proven track record of generating sales revenue in the water treatment industry with year-over-year increases.
Physical Demands
- Travel dependent on the size of the assigned territory.

- Constantly required to sit; occasionally required to walk, stand, climb (including stairs), balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Constantly use hands and fingers to handle objects and operate computer keyboards.
- Routinely required to reach, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds; occasionally maneuver drums weighing 250-800 pounds.
- Occasionally required to climb stairs and ladders and work at high elevations for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to drive short and long distances (within DOT regulations).

Working Conditions

- High noise levels at both indoor and outdoor sites; ear protection may be required.
- Site locations may include boiler houses, cooling towers, water plants, wastewater plants, or process areas.
- Routine use of hazardous chemicals.
- Collaborative environment; position interacts with all levels of the customer organization.
- Comfort with frequent travel and hotel stays required.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 USD per year, plus commission. Eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k).
