Core Truth Model Analyst (MDA)

MDR is looking for a Senior Systems (Integration) Analyst to provide engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Production team, focused on requirements definition, elaboration, and verification for Missile Defense framework and Core Truth Model (CTM) software development, including software containerization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review CTM requirements and diagrams
• Develop and review Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and other interface documents from Missile Defense System participants and Modeling and Simulation enablers
• Lead and facilitate technical discussions and collaboration activities with both internal and external stakeholders, including Prime Contractors and Missile Defense elements
• Actively participate in Program Increment Planning activities
• Develop and review verification and validation plans for CTM development and coordination with the accrediting organization
• Draft and review technical documents, briefings, white papers, etc.
• Play a role in overall functional strategic planning of CTM System Engineering processes within the organization
• Define and develop the interface with MDA Ground Test Framework and Integrated Software Center tools
• Analyze the integration of systems engineering processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness

Requirements

• BS degree in STEM field
• 7+ years of related professional experience
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance
• Experience in model and simulation development
• Experience in Agile and Lean software development principles
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) concepts and applications
• Experience in software containerization development concepts and applications
• Experience in model and simulation requirements development
• Experience in model and simulation verification and validation
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with the missile defense system and the Missile Defense Agency
• Experience with OPTISIG, KIDD, OSC, SAG, or other Core Truth Models
• Experience with MDA ground and flight test events, Continuous Development Integration (CDI), and activities supported by M&S products and services
• Experience with analysis, test, and systems engineering of M&S for one or more elements of the MDS (e.g., Patriot, THAAD, GMD, Sensors, or C2)
• Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Systems Modeling Language (SysML), as well as other languages typically used for system modeling (e.g., DoD Architecture Framework and UML)
• Experience in Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) signature models
• Experience with environmental models and environmental states and effects
• Experience with missile defense system and/or threat system simulation and model testing processes
• Experience with DoD and/or MDA acquisition and systems engineering
