Core Technician

About the Role

The Core Technician is a scientist role responsible for supporting the production of sterile biological pharmaceutical products in a cGMP-regulated environment. The position requires laboratory experience, strong knowledge of safety and quality requirements, and the ability to follow established procedures and recognize deviations from accepted practices. The role primarily involves working in a cleanroom environment while maintaining cGMP compliance, managing priorities and resources, setting and monitoring objectives, and providing clear direction and leadership to team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to the production of sterile biological pharmaceutical products.
• Follow all safety policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure team members follow safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain quality systems and cGMP compliance.
• Follow processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Perform procedures according to written guidelines.
• Recognize deviations from accepted practices.
• Work in a cleanroom environment.
• Follow required cleanroom gowning and contamination-control procedures.
• Assign objectives and monitor progress.
• Manage resources and competing priorities.
• Establish clear direction and lead team members.
• Support team members and help bring out their best.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience or a recent graduate from any life science background can apply.
• Laboratory experience from either industry or academic will be considered.

Skills

• Basic to intermediate laboratory experience, preferably in a cGMP clinical production environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP and quality systems.
• Ability to follow written procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to recognize deviations from procedures.
• Knowledge of cleanroom practices.
• Understanding of sterile biological pharmaceutical production.
• Strong safety and compliance awareness.
• Ability to set objectives and monitor progress.
• Ability to manage competing priorities.
• Leadership and team-management skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate directions and objectives.

Pay

$25 per hour
