About the role

As a Core Operations Tax Manager, you will lead the team responsible for tax reporting, compliance, and distribution planning across Capital Group's investment vehicles. You will oversee complex tax analyses and reporting, advise on the tax treatment of securities and transactions, and partner with Operations, Fund Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and external providers to ensure compliance and operational excellence. You'll also help drive strategic initiatives that improve scalability, controls, and the client experience.

Please note, this role requires you to work in our Charlotte office, four days a week, Monday-Thursday.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team responsible for tax reporting, compliance, and distribution planning across Capital Group's investment vehicles.
  • Oversee complex tax analyses and reporting.
  • Advise on the tax treatment of securities and transactions.
  • Partner with Operations, Fund Accounting, Legal, Compliance, and external providers to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that improve scalability, controls, and the client experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of tax experience within investment management, financial services, or public accounting.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep expertise in tax reporting, compliance, distribution planning, and the tax treatment of securities, transactions, and corporate actions.
  • Strong partnership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change.
  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.

Pay

Charlotte Base Salary Range: $136,749-$218,798

Schedule

Four days a week, Monday-Thursday, in the Charlotte office.
