About the role

Perform moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory tests in an assigned department of the clinical laboratory to provide physicians with rapid and accurate laboratory test results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and complex laboratory tests using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Interpret test results and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education programs to maintain competency in clinical laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligibility for certification by an agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education or a National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA).
  • State certifications are also acceptable.
  • Must obtain certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

  • Specific clinical laboratory experience preferred.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
