What We Do / The Team

The Equity Finance Technology team is seeking a highly motivated software engineer for the Trading application based in New York. This role involves working with technologists globally and delivering technical projects through agile methods.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve high-impact problems and projects through detailed evaluation of complex business and system processes, and industry standards.
  • Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure designs adhere to the overall architecture blueprint.
  • Utilise advanced knowledge of system flow and develop coding standards for testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Serve as an adviser or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
  • Adapt priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in applications development with Core Java or systems analysis roles.
  • Extensive experience in system analysis and software application programming.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of applications development.
  • Extensive development experience with Core Java.
  • Technical skills in Java, Kafka, SQL, Git.
  • Experience in performing QA, TDD, and BDD practices.
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Flexibility to work with a global team, across geographies and time zones.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Skills And Experience Required

  • Extensive development experience with Core Java.
