About the role
The role involves leading shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers oversee the team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Planning for each shift
- Making sure the team meets McDonald’s standards
- Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
- Meeting targets during their shifts
- Helping their assigned Departments meet their goals
- Ensuring food safety
- Maintaining internal communication
- Managing inventory
- Performing daily maintenance and cleanliness
- Controlling quality food production
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Ensuring safety and security
- Scheduling staff
- Training new employees
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and willingness to have fun
- Must be 18 years or older and have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
Qualifications
Applicants should have a strong understanding of McDonald’s standards and procedures, as well as the ability to manage a team effectively.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with restaurant management software are beneficial.
