About the role
The role involves leading shifts every week to ensure customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Shift Managers oversee the team and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Planning for each shift
- Making sure the team meets McDonald’s standards
- Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift
- Meeting targets during their shifts
- Helping their assigned Departments meet their goals
- Ensuring food safety
- Maintaining internal communication
- Managing inventory
- Performing daily maintenance and cleanliness
- Controlling quality food production
- Providing exceptional customer service
- Ensuring safety and security
- Scheduling staff
- Training new employees
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Flexibility with a schedule
- Age 18 or older
Qualifications
While not specified, previous experience in a managerial role within a similar industry is preferred.
Skills
Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is beneficial.
