About the role

The Order Picker/Inventory Clerk picks orders from pick sheets to prepare them for packaging and shipping. They accurately count inventory items during picking to maintain proper inventory counts, perform cycle counting of stockroom items, and put received items away into designated locations. This is a teamwork-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders accurately according to pick sheets.
• Maintain proper inventory counts by accurately counting items during picking.
• Perform cycle counting of stockroom items.
• Put received items away into designated locations.
• Manage time efficiently and effectively.
• Handle details of each assignment thoroughly.
• Work with computer inventory programs and software.
• Identify, recommend, and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce cost and waste.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years’ experience in a distribution center environment.
• Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with awareness of deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must be detail-oriented.
