Temporary substitute position for the 2026-2027 school year at Charles Huber Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Provides academic assistance to students in regular and special education classroom environments.
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills with classroom and intervention teachers.
• Establishes and maintains positive rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Assists students with identified disabilities, including physical and cognitive needs in preacademic, academic, and personal care areas.
• Provides support individually, in small groups, or large group settings, including resource rooms and classrooms.
• Assists with personal care tasks such as diapering, toileting, feeding, mobility support, and transitioning from wheelchair or walker to floor/seat.
• Lifting may be required.
• Follows accommodations and instructional activities as directed by the classroom teacher or intervention specialist.
• Participates in additional training provided by the district based on student needs, including CPR and delegated nursing tasks (e.g., medication and health management).

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Must meet Highly Qualified criteria as defined by No Child Left Behind for employment in any Federal designated Title One Building.
• Current employees encouraged to participate in district-provided training to meet Highly Qualified criteria.

Pay

$19.76 per hour.

Schedule

7.5-hour workday. Temporary substitute position.
