Barry’s is the original strength and cardio interval fitness experience, founded in West Hollywood in 1998. Our classes alternate between weights and treadmill running, focusing on different muscle groups each day to tone muscle, maximize fat loss, and boost metabolism for up to 48 hours post-class.
About the role
Client Specialists are the first point of contact at Barry’s studios, ensuring superior hospitality and maintaining lasting client relationships. They assist with class bookings, studio upkeep, FuelBar orders, and merchandise purchases, acting as positive brand ambassadors in every interaction.
We seek passionate, hard-working, and team-oriented individuals with outgoing interpersonal skills, a love for health, and excitement for our brand. This role encompasses Front Desk, Facilities, and Fuel Bar responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and studio amenities to personalize the client experience.
- Warmly welcome clients, assist with inquiries, and ensure a memorable experience aligned with the Barry’s brand.
- Build and maintain cooperative relationships with clients and staff.
- Communicate efficiently with supervisors and peers via phone, email, or in person.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming studio by assisting with cleaning, restocking, and upkeep.
- Guide clients on studio promotions, membership discounts, and special events.
- Maintain product knowledge for studio retail operations.
- Participate in training, development programs, and meetings as directed.
- Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Fuel Bar Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve quality protein smoothies with excellent customer service.
- Handle pre-orders and custom orders efficiently.
- Assist clients with product selection and complete POS transactions promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Fuel Bar area per health regulations.
- Rotate merchandise and monitor spoilage according to company policy.
- Follow company recipes for fuel bar goods.
- Facility Maintenance:
- Prepare studio spaces before, after, and between classes by cleaning equipment, floors, and mirrors.
- Maintain locker rooms to brand standards.
- Conduct deep cleaning and organization of common areas (lobby, Red Room, retail shelves, locker rooms, etc.).
- Perform small studio repairs as needed.
- Handle laundry services, including collecting, washing, and folding towels.
- Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning checklists.
- Customer Service:
- Provide the highest level of hospitality to all clients.
- Maintain and utilize the client database to enhance engagement.
- Attend community events to generate new business and invite clients to studio events.
- Use clienteling tools to reach out to current and prospective clients.
Requirements
- Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Ability to work full-time or part-time:
- Full-time: Minimum 30 hours/week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and one weekend day (Saturday/Sunday).
- Part-time: Minimum 24 hours/week, with shifts of 3-4 hours, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and one weekend day (Saturday/Sunday).

Pay
$17 USD per hour (Noho).
