About the role
Become our next Knowledge Management Copy Editor and help shape the enterprise voice of a global technology leader. Trimble is seeking a sharp, detail-oriented Copy Editor to champion content excellence across our growing Knowledge Base platform.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the final enterprise authority for all published knowledge base articles, directly shaping how internal teams and external customers experience our brand.
- Copyedit high-impact technical content, author the enterprise style guide, host interactive quarterly coaching workshops, and build the authoring playbook that sets the quality benchmark across the entire organization.
- Build, maintain, and evolve the enterprise Authoring Playbook and KM Style Guide to align content writers with unified brand standards.
- Conduct interactive quarterly content workshops and manage writer quality scorecards to mentor, coach, and elevate writing performance.
- Partner with KM Managers to drive tool uniformity, establish best-in-class methodologies, and build cross-functional relationships across global teams.
- Perform peer reviews and provide constructive feedback to content writers, actively identifying opportunities for editorial growth and quality improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience in copyediting, technical writing, or knowledge management content creation.
- Proven expertise in creating, maintaining, and enforcing corporate style guides and enterprise documentation standards.
- Strong track record of providing actionable feedback, coaching writers, and facilitating quality-focused workshops.
- Exceptional command of grammar, structural editing, and consistent template application.
- Bonus points for experience managing quality scorecards or performance metrics within a Knowledge Management platform.
- Hands-on experience developing authoring playbooks or cross-functional content governance frameworks.
- Background in editing both technical content and customer-facing support documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
