About the role

This job is for a Shift Manager position at a McDonald’s restaurant operated by an independent franchisee. The franchisee is a separate company and employer from McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is solely responsible for employment matters such as hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
  • Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
  • Monitor performance during the shift, take corrective actions as needed, and ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards.
  • Maintain safety and security protocols and contribute to the overall profitability of the shift.
  • Communicate with the next Shift Manager to prepare them for their shift and assist in managing the team effectively.
  • Meet and exceed targets set for the shift and support the departments in achieving their goals.
  • Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness of the restaurant.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and food production quality.
  • Handle food safety procedures and internal communications.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A flexible schedule and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in corporate-owned and operated restaurants.
