About the role

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Research Data Coordinator to support the Breast Surgical Oncology Research program. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical data that directly informs research findings and patient care advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Data Management & Entry
    • Accurately enter clinical data at designated stages of the treatment process into clinical databases
    • Maintain patient database records including survival status, vital status, disease recurrences, and surgical outcomes
    • Transcribe and extract clinical information from medical records, social security index, and medical informatics sources
    • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and quality to support clinical trial outcomes
  • Data Collection & Reporting
    • Collect, organize, and prepare data for project reports and presentations
    • Provide regular reports to management and investigators outlining data collection activities
    • Support compliance with research protocols and data integrity standards
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Cook up communication between physicians, investigators, technicians, and nurses
    • Act as a liaison to ensure efficient and accurate information flow across stakeholders
    • Work independently and collaboratively with primary investigators and research personnel

Requirements

  • Preferred Background: Biology
  • Experience: Data Entry, Organizational and Time Management Capabilities
  • Medical Records Experience: Extracting and Interpreting Information

Qualifications

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Experience: 2 years Related experience or No experience required with preferred degree.

Pay

Minimum $44,000 - Midpoint $55,000 - Maximum $66,000

Schedule

Monday through Friday, days only. Employees may choose a start time between 6:30 am and 9:00 am and work eight hours plus lunch each day.

Remote (within Texas only)
