Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of the PNP Nurse Practitioner concentration.
- Supporting students with preceptor placements, clinical site communication as needed, and supporting paperwork.
- Academic advising and mentoring as needed.
- Overseeing, credentialing, and managing faculty in the PNP concentration to support excellent curriculum delivery.
- Developing and guiding strategic plans for program growth and goals.
- Maintaining relationships with internal and external constituencies, including educational partners, students, serving on committees, and representing the university at external functions.
- Teaching as required per contract.
Qualifications
- Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner clinical practice knowledge.
- Prior online teaching experience.
- Prior online teaching experience as an NP/PNP.
- Highly detail-oriented and analytical skills.
- Mentally nimble to balance multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.
- Experience and comfort with technology, databases, MS Office, and the ability to learn other software systems.
- Formal Education: MSN, nationally certified as a Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric Primary Care), with a minimum of five years of recent clinical experience as an NP/PNP, and unencumbered RN licensure in the United States.
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred.
- NP clinical experience with specific patient populations preferred.
