About the role
The Coordinator of Housekeeping oversees daily operations and maintenance of building facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, managing vendor relationships, monitoring building systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Coordinator supervises a custodial team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance operations. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is required, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial working relationships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building facilities.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor building systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Supervise a custodial team, providing leadership and guidance.
- Assist in the hiring process for custodial staff.
- Maintain records and compile reports related to custodial and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least four years of experience in housekeeping, custodial maintenance, or a related area.
- At least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least six years of custodial experience in the commercial/corporate industry.
- At least four years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Skills
- Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of custodial and maintenance practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of materials and equipment used in custodial/maintenance work.
- Ability to determine maintenance and custodial needs of building facilities.
- Ability to supervise a medium to large-sized staff of subordinate supervisors, custodial workers, and semi-skilled maintenance repairmen.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office products such as email and spreadsheets.

Pay
$39,930 - $43,923 annually, plus a 12% shift differential for night shift.
